Point Pelee Report for May 30 (Monday)

There was overnight rain and it is partly cloudy this AM. Bird food is
abundant.

A Summer Tanager was seen at Post #7 at 8 AM on the Woodland Trail and
later on the Main Road North of the 1/2 way tram stop.

Yellow-billed Cuckoos are calling in the South portion of the Park and one
was seen in the Tip Area.

The few warblers that have been reported today include Black-throated
Green, Blackpoll, and Black-throated Blue.

There is no information from Hillman Marsh.

On a general note the bar has been raised for the number of species seen in
the Pelee Circle for the month of May. The unofficial count is just under
230.

The Friends of Point Pelee give a Big Thanks to all those who visited for
the Festival of Birds 2005. We hope to see you again next spring!

Good Birding,
Friends of Point Pelee
