In a return visit to Resources Road Ravine in the late afternoon/early evening
yesterday, I succeeded in adding about 24 species of birds to my day's list,
including the following new arrivals (not previously recorded this year):
OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER, LINCOLN'S SPARROW and MOURNING WARBER. Also recorded
was a CAROLINA WREN (possibly resident).

Resources Road Ravine may be accessed from the foot of Dee Avenue, which is the
first street east off Weston Road immediately south of Hwy 401. Cross the
footbridge and walk south.

Many thanks to all the people who sent me links to Loiusiana waterthrush songs.
Two of the three songs I listened to don't sound like what I heard (the third
part goes on too long), but one of them does. I lean rather towards thinking it
was not a Louisiana Waterthrush, but I just don't know for sure. I guess that's
what keeps birding interesting.
