Hi as an addition to mathew's post there is a beautiful male Golden-Winged Warbler hanging behind the garden plots at Shell Park. He is hanging around the same area as the Nighthawk which is just over the creek behind the garden plots, follow the trail up till you get to a couple of signs and the nighthawk is up to the left ,the warbler has been hanging just to the right in a big leafy tree and along the edge of the woods. Also saw 18 other type of warblers including Northern Parula, Orange Crowned and Blackpoll, Indigo Bunting ,many Least Flycatchers and Lincoln's Sparrow.
Directions as per Mathew's post: Shell park is located on Lakeshore Rd in Oakville. Take Burloak Dr. south from the QEW and make a left (east) when you hit Lakeshore. The park is on the north side Andrew Don Bronte,ON From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun May 15 15:37:37 2005 Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Delivered-To: [email protected] Received: from smtp103.rog.mail.re2.yahoo.com (smtp103.rog.mail.re2.yahoo.com [206.190.36.81]) by king.hwcn.org (Postfix) with SMTP id C900963D6A for <[email protected]>; Sun, 15 May 2005 15:37:36 -0400 (EDT) Received: from unknown (HELO doug) ([EMAIL PROTECTED]@24.112.239.100 with login) by smtp103.rog.mail.re2.yahoo.com with SMTP; 15 May 2005 19:53:11 -0000 Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> From: "Doug Lockrey" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "ontbirds" <[email protected]> Date: Sun, 15 May 2005 15:53:15 -0400 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2800.1409 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2800.1409 Subject: [Ontbirds]22 warblwer species at Thickson's-May 15 X-BeenThere: [email protected] X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list X-List-Received-Date: Sun, 15 May 2005 19:37:37 -0000 There were several excellent "hot spots" in and around Thickson's Woods during the morning of May 15.
