Reporting for Dayna Lee of St. Catherines who is visiting Wallaceburg. There was a Little Blue Heron at MacDonald Park just outside of Wallaceburg today at about 2:00 pm. MacDonald Park is on the St. Clair Parkway just north of Wallaceburg about five minutes on the left. It is a new shorebird habitat and along with the heron, there were Black Terns, Spotted and Least Sandpipers, Palm and Yellow Warblers, Blue-winged Teal and several species of swallows. The Little Blue was in the main pond towards the back and later flew into the reeds along the St. Clair Parkway. Thanks and good birding!
