We saw a Scarlet Tanager in Britannia Woods in Ottawa yesterday about 3pm. It was on the northwest side of the woods in an area with many Yellow-rumped Warblers. To access Britannia Woods, take Carling Avenue west and exit right just before Richmond Road onto Poulin Avenue, proceed for less than 1km to the end of Poulin, turn left on Howe St and then right on Britannia Road. Proceed almost to the end of Britannia Road (less than 1 km). You can park on Britannia Road and enter the woods at a gate on the right side about 100 metres before the end of Britannia Road. Take the path to the right just past the gate and the Tanager was seen about 200 metres from there.
