I apologize for not posting this yesterday.

I saw a single turkey, which appeared to be a female from lack of beard, walking in a newly plowed field along with a flock of geese. This was just before dusk, about 7:00 p.m. This was on 15th Side Road between 5th and 6th Line Nassagaweya.

Directions: 401 west from Toronto to the Highway 25 exit at Milton. Go north to the top of the escarpment at Speyside. Turn left (west) and go about 5 minutes to the flashing four-way light. The field is on the right just past the flashing lights, before you get to the bend in the road.

This should be a good area for turkeys as there is scrubby second-growth across the road and cornfields nearby. However, they are elusive to say the least and not common.
