We saw a Summer Tanager in Backus Woods Today[Mon] about 3pm. A male bird with still a lot of green. Directions From the corner of Highway 59 and # 24. Go 1 concession south on #59 to the 4th concession road. Turn left[east] and drive about 2km to the signed trail on your left[north side of road]On the south side is a large Conservation sign.Just east of the trail on the south side of the sand road is a Pine plantation that has had considerable cutting. The bird was in this area on the north side of the road.
