A single upland sandpiper was observed on the west side of Mount Pleasant
Rd. South of Development Rd. this morning, by the sender Greg Boxwell.
Later in the day a pair was seen by Dick Tafel and others, on the North
side of Laplante Rd. east of Farmers Lane (west of Mount Pleasant Rd).
The area on the north side of Laplante Rd. and the west side of Mount
Pleasant Rd. is the only known breeding site of this species in the North
Bay area.
DIRECTIONS:
Approximately 40 km east of north Bay to Rutherglen. South on Rutherglen
Line one concession, to Development Rd. East on Development Rd. 0.5 km to
Mount Pleasant Rd. Bird seen on west side 0.6 km south.
