Having to be in the vicinity, we took the opportunity to hike through the Southern set of trails in the old Clairville CA (now a school resource) yesterday. Although it was early afternoon, not the most opportune time for birding, we did come across (at least) 4 FIELD SPARROWS, a VEERY, BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER, along with the other expected types.
