A cool sunny AM greeted birders at Thickson Woods and the waterfront trail
leading eastward--morning of May 1.
In the woods-- Palm Warbler (not the yellow race), several Black-and-White
Warblers, 1 Black-throated Green Warblers, many Yellow-rumpeds, 2 Brown
Thrashers, a few Winter Wrens.
Along the waterfront trail which leads eastward towards Boundary Rd. in
Oshawa-- Black-crowned Night Heron, Horned Lark, female Hooded Merganser

Exit 401 at Thickson Rd. in east Whitby, south to the road that runs along
the north side of the pine forest.
