8a.m., April 21, at south end of Thickson's Woods-- heard, then viewed
Blue-headed/Solitary Vireo in the trees south of the bird-recording entry
book.
Sunny but cool morning-- few birds, but other highlights would be
Black-throated Green Warbler, many Yellow-rumped Warblers, 2 Pine Warblers,
several Hermit Thrushes and 1 singing Brown Thrasher, the latter being
roadside near the marsh.
At the base of Hall's Rd. --15 or more Bank Swallows, 2 Rough-winged
Swallows, 2 Barn Swallows, and many Tree Swallows.

For Thickson's Woods--exit 401 south onto Thickson Rd. in east Whitby--down
to the roadway that parallels the north side of the pine woods.
For Hall's Rd.--exit 401 at Salem Rd. (in Ajax), south to Bayly, east
through Lakeridge Rd. to the first street (Hall's), south to roadside
parking areas--for warblers that are being seen, or south right to the
lakefront.
