Hi Ontbirders,

This morning a group of us went birding in the east end of Ottawa to find a
Brant Goose(Easternly subspecies which has a pale belly contrasting with a
black chest and the neck patches don't meet in the front) and a Sandhill Crane
west of Milton Road. We saw a Blue morph Snow Goose with some Pintail Ducks
and several Canadas. Also a female Ruddy Duck in the overflowing Beaverbrook
Creek at Frank Kenny.

Hi Ontbirders,

Birding in the rain this morning (Thursday, 7 April), Dave Minns & I found one
male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker near the feeders on Dolman Ridge Road. At Mer
Bleue boardwalk there were two Rusty Blackbirds.

I didn't get a chance to report a Winter Wren & two singing Brown Creepers
yesterday (Wednesday, 6 April) at the Jack Pine Trail.

Good birding.

Roger Clark (Ottawa)
