Hi Birders:
Our first tree swallow of the season was resting on the wires adjacent to the
road this
morning at 8 am (last year's arrival was Apr. 9). While I was watching the
swallow a
male northern harrier flew over the road. Also new this morning is a belted
kingfisher
over Big Creek. The Creek has flooded its banks over the adjacent fields.
Hopefully
some migrant ducks will set down in the flooded fields today. A common grackle
with a dappled white head was at the feeder first thing this morning. Still
lots of
siskins & tree sparrows.

Walsingham is 15 km north of Long Point on Highway 59. Big Creek crosses the
6th
Conc. just west of the Village.
