Hi Fellow Birders;
Today, ( March 28th), at Bronte Marsh in south-west Oakville, I had 2
Black-crown. Night Herons. Rather early arrivals as the marsh here is still
frozen solid, with only Bronte Creek beginning to open up.
Directions; Exit the QEW at Oakville to Bronte Road south to Lakeshore Road.
Turn right or west a couple hundred meters to the bridge over Bronte Creek, the
marsh is on the north side.

Hi Everyone
The Great Gray Owls are still around, saw 8 today. There were 5 along
March Valley Road, 2 on Rifle Road and 1 on Huntmar near March Road. The
Red-headed Woodpeckers have successfully overwintered at the old burn site
at Constance Bay. Today, one was observed feeding and flying around and a
Red-shouldered Hawk was observed flying over the site.
good birding
Bruce.
