Hi Fellow Birders,
I sighted a Northern Shrike between Newcastle & Bowmanville at noon today.
Several Common Redpolls (6), American Tree Sparrows, Red Bellied Woodpecker
(f.) and Brown Headed Cowbirds (9) at my feeders today along with all the
other regulars.
I sighted a small flock of 5 Trumpeter Swans flying along the lakeshore
blowing their trumpets in the thick fog yesterday.
Directions: Take 440 exit on 401 and turn south to 590 Mill St. S. and the
lakeshore. For the Northern Shrike take the Bennett Rd. exit from 401 and
turn south and then immediately west.
