We arrived shortly after 11:00 a.m. At approximately 11:45 the bird finally made an appearance and was feeding on the ground under the main feeder among the many Common Redpolls, Pine Grosbeaks and fewer number of Evening Grosbeaks also present at this feeder. It appears that this bird belongs to the "Brown-cheeked" or "Interior" group as the gray on the hind crown does not extend down to the cheek. Cheers, Colin Jones Lakefield, ON > directions to Gray-crowned Rosy Finch > When arriving at Sudbury, coming north on highway 69, take the "new" > Trans-Canada Highway 17 Bypass west.
