Joan Love found 2 Great Gray Owls today NW of the junction of Hwy 27 and
Hwy 7. I went with her to see them. We believe that these are the first
recorded GGOWs for the City of Vaughan that we are aware of since before
the last irruption in 96/97.

Directions: Going west along Hwy 7 go across Hwy 27 and turn N at
the next traffic light (Vaughan Valley Boulevard) go to the end and turn
left and go as far as Rainbow Creek Dr., turn right and go to the dead
end. One of the birds was in a tree a short distance NW of there. The
other was much further NW and could probably have been seen better from
Huntingdon Road N of Sunset Corners but I did not have time to check.
