Birding today with Brenda Luther, Jim Taylor, Albert Boisvert and Ken
Kingdon we managed to see 1 GREAT GRAY OWL and 1 BOREAL OWL in the Jack Pine
Plantation in the Owl Woods. There was 1 SNOWY OWL on the east end KFN
property. Conditions were very windy and most birds were probably hunkered
down. Other good sightings include SNOW BUNTINGS, 2 AMERICAN ROBINS, 3
ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS and COMMON REDPOLLS. In Lake Ontario just west of
Sandhurst there were many REDHEADS and TUNDRA SWANS. An ICELAND GULL was
observed at the Napanee Landfill sight.
