My mother, my sister and I saw five redpolls - two common and three
hoary - at the nyger feeder in my mother's backyard at Bruton and
Victoria Streets in Port Hope on Christmas Day at noon. A single hoary
had visited the same feeder earlier in the morning. The redpolls were
also taking sunflower seeds from the sunflower feeder. They didn't stay
long and we did not see them this morning.
