Hi all,

This morning while doing a site visit for the Wetland Habitat Fund, the landowner and I saw a GREAT GRAY OWL in the centre of a small woodlot behind his farm house. To access the area you must first make arrangements with the landowner, Jean-François at (613) 797-5830. If the owl exits the woodlot it would be quite visible from the public road. To reach this area go to the town of Alfred along highway 17, then east of town turn north on Lefaivre Road, then turn west on Concession 2 Rd. The owl was spotted in the vicinity of civic address 2575.

Of the 2 SNOWY OWLS reported yesterday, one was present today at lunch time on the same telephone pole on Concession 20 Rd.

DIRECTIONS to Snowy Owl: from Hwy 417 east of Casselman take exit 58 and proceed north on Cty Rd 8 for about 1 km until you come to Concession 20. Turn right on Concession 20 and go to the intersection of
Ste-Rose Rd. The owl was spotted about 1 km east of this intersection.
Best regards,

Jacques Bouvier
