Observation end time: 13:30:00
Total observation time: 4.5 hours

Official Counter: Calvin Brennan

Observers: Jeff Schultz

Weather:
After some mid morning rain, skies began to clear and sunny conditions
predominated for the remainder of the day. Moderate southwest winds in the
morning increased to very strong in the afternoon with gusts approaching
40 mph (70 kmh).

Observations:
There was some movement of raptors once the skies brightened but most birds
gave it up once the winds picked up in the afternoon. Even the TVs, who
were doing their best tacking back and forth in the strong winds, stopped
flying by mid afternoon. Highlighting the day were two Northern Goshawks,
one of which was an adult, the second of this age seen at the watch this
season.
