Hi Everyone,
Two Hudsonian Godwits were still at Blenheim Lagoons today. They have been
there since at least last Sunday. Other shorebirds there included several
hundred Dunlin and both Yellowlegs. There is also a good variety of ducks.
Gulls come and go (there was a Laughing Gull there last Sunday).
Other shorebirds in the area include a Ruddy Turnstone, dunlin and
Sanderlings at Erieau (tip of Rondeau). Strong SW winds this morning did
not produce any notable species of gulls, etc. at Erieau. Still the odd
Caspian Tern.
Things are looking up for Cave Swallows this week. One was reported in
northern Michigan this morning!

Good birding,
Blake.

Lagoon directions: Blenheim is located between Chatham and Rondeau
Provincial
Park. Exit the 401 at what they used to call Hwy. 40, exit 90.
Go south to Blenheim. At the main street in Blenheim (stop light) turn
right/west.
Go out of Blenheim on this road (old Hwy.3,
now called the Talbot Trail) for approx. 1.5 km. Turn right (north) on
Lagoon
Rd. (at carwash) and continue north 1 km. to the lagoons. I remind you that
you should have a permit from the town office (35 Talbot St.) located in
Blenheim.
