The on-and-off rains kept the hawks low, but a few of us were able to enjoy
a number of Rough-legged Hawks both perched in the trees alongside Hall's
Rd. and across the wetland from the CMRW platform.

A N.Shrike was picked up flying into a tree a short distance down from
Victoria St. in the noonhour time.

An unofficial migrating raptor count for Oct.27, up to 1pm was 18--1
Cooper's , 7 Rough-leggeds, 2 Harriers, 8 Red-taileds.

Exit 401 at Salem, south to Bayly, east through LakeRidge, to the first
street, south down Hall's to the second roadside parking area.
