Hi Everyone
Spent the morning birding Lake Dore, weather conditions were ideal, no
wind! With excellent visibility I was able to do an accurate count of the
waterbirds. The highlight was an adult winter plumaged Little Gull flying
around the lake. Other interesting birds included 62 Common Loon,
129 Horned Grebe, 53 Red-necked Grebe, 135 Bonaparte's Gull, 2 first winter
Great Black-Backed Gull and 2 Surf Scoter.

Hi Everyone
With great viewing conditions along the Ottawa River today I spent some
time this afternoon birding between Shirley's Bay and Dick Bell Park. The
highlight was 3 Red-throated Loons off Dick Bell Park.
Also saw a few Red-necked and Horned Grebe.
Yesterday, October 25, 2004 I observed 1 Northern Shrike and 12 Fox Sparrow
along Kerwin Drive near Dunrobin.
