Observation start time: 08:00:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Calvin Brennan

Observers: Lathe Claflin, Walt Pawloski

Weather:
Mostly cloudy conditions predominated for much of the day until mid
afternoon when there was some partial clearing. Winds were generally light
out of the west becoming moderate southeast near the end of the count day.

Observations:
The flight was perhaps surprisingly steady throughout with Sharp-shins
dominating the early part of the count. The larger birds became more
numerous with the thinning of the cloud layer and the warming air
temperature as the day wore on. Once again highlighting the day was a
Northern Goshawk, this time an adult, a plumage not often seen at this
site. It seems the fall season is off to a fine start with regards to this
species.
