The mild south winds reverted to medium north winds at mid-AM at the
Cranberry Marsh RW on Sunday, Oct.10. I was so very appreciative of the many
eyes to locate and identify both distant and close-in raptors over a period
of 6 hours-- the 420 hawks were-- 168 Turkey Vultures, 1 adult BALD EAGLE,
10 N.Harriers, 152 Sharp-shinneds, 10 Cooper's,
4 RED-SHOULDEREDS, 48 Red-taileds, 16 Kestrels, 3 Merlins, 5 Peregrines
(incl.1 adult & 1 imm. tundrius) and 3 Unidentifieds.

Our 5 Great Egrets are still flying about. A Rusty Blackbird was heard. Our
first recorded Junco at the site was noted.

Exit the 401 at Salem, south to Bayly, east through LakeRidge, continuing 1
block to Hall's Rd.---south to the second roadside parking area just north
of the lakefront.
