A hawk count this morning near the banding station in the SW corner of the
park from 8 am to 2 pm produced the following raptors. Winds were strong out
of the SW which is not good for migration hawks.

Northern Harrier         2
Sharp-shinned Hawk 23
Cooper's Hawk          1
Red-tailed Hawk        5
American Kestrel       6
Merlin                        2
Peregrine Falcon        3

Also of note passing over were 2 Red-headed Woodpecker, 60 Tree Swallow,
Purple Finches, Pine Siskins and 2 late Bobolinks as well as numerous other
diurnal migrating passerines

Selkirk Provincial Park is located SW of the the hamlet of Selkirk off the
Wheeler Road.
