Today there are two PEREGRINES on the reef off Kettle Point.
One has a sandy crown and is a young bird. the other is the whitest-breasted peregrine that I have ever seen. The breast is completely white and unspotted. There are a few spots on the belly between the thighs. The back looks quite dark. managed some photos of the adult and then the young one hovered over it in focus. Neat. However they were 300meters away and even my big lens (800mm.) has a tough job at that distance!
                            Good Birding. Alf.
Kettle Point is North of Forest on Highway 21. follow the road around the reserve until you arrive at a sharp corner with a reef stretching 1km. out into Lake Huron.
