It took 4 hours of standing in cold winds, but by 1PM the raptors started to arrive in big numbers. Indeed, a total of 9 hours of vigilance was put in at the Cranberry Marsh Raptor Watch. Highlights were a late Osprey, 2 Peregines (1 of which was an adult Tundrius race), 129 TURKEY VULTURES, 1 Broad-winged and 30 Am. Kestrels.
At least 3 Great Egrets are still around (since late July). Passerines included a few Am.Pipits and several Tree Swallows. Exit the 401 at Salem--south to Bayly, east through LakeRidge to Hall's Rd., south to the 2nd roadside parking area north of the lakefront. Doug Lockrey, coordinator CMRW
