Winds were light to moderate north-northwest increasing to fairly strong and gusty by midday and then lessening in the mid afternoon after a switch more to the east-northeast. Observations: Conditions really were ideal for hawk watching what with the wind direction and partial cloud cover. Highlights of the flight included the first Golden Eagle of the season, a sub adult, along with the best movement of Red-tails and Turkey Vultures so far this fall. A single Sandhill Crane was noted flying due south in mid morning. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/
