At 9:20 a.m. Tom Crooks, Peter Booker, Joyce Lechasseur and myself had a
White-winged Dove fly in and land at the top of a large tree at Shell Park.
The bird was located just south of the first bridge in the park which leads
to the garden allotments The tree is on the west side of the creek. I
spotted the bird fly over my head and land in the tree showing its white
crescents. When it landed the others were able to get on the bird where it
sat for about 4 minutes and then took off north. Subsequent efforts to
relocate the bird so far have been futile.

Shell Park is located off of Lakeshore Road between Burloak and Bronte Road
in Oakville.

Cheers,
Cheryl Edgecombe
