Hi all,
This morning I observed a strange event. A juvenile intermediate morph
Parasitic Jaeger flew from somewhere off the lake and circled over the woods
and out of sight about 8 a.m., heading westward. I had wonderful looks at
it, leaving no question as to identity. I was on the edge of the east beach
at the light beacon on south point trail. Jaegers are rarely observed at
Rondeau, so that in itself is significant.
Warblers were light in numbers this weekend at the park.
This morning there was an endless stream of gulls and terns along the
shoreline of the park. They were constantly moving westward, numbering tens
of thousands. I watched for a while, but did not see any rarities.

Rondeau Provincial Park is in Chatham-Kent at the south end of CK Rd. 15.

Blake.
