A morning count yielded 83 juvenile Baird's Sandpipers between Owen Point and beach 3 at Presqu'ile. Numbers of Baird's in the evening seemed greater. Shorebird numbers are now in the hundreds and White-rumped and Pectoral Sandpipers were added this evening to the recently posted species list.
