There's a large flock of Bonaparte's gulls at the
Wiarton sewage lagoons in various stages of moult
including one adult in full breeding plumage.
Also mallards, Wood Duck, Shoveller, Blue-wing
Teal, juvenile Merganser and a juvenile Pied-
billed Grebe doing its very cool sinking routine.

The lagoons behind the Independent Store in Port
Elgin had Semi-palmated and Least Sandpipers,
Semi-palmated Plover, Killdeer, Spotted
Sandpiper, Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs.

The large flocks of swallows observed over the
past few weeks were noticibly absent today.
