A friend of mine, Janet Li, has called me to say that she saw a long-tailed flycatcher in High Park this morning. It was near Grenadier Pond, north of the bandstand, in some evergreen trees. She did not have her binoculars, and the sky was overcast. I'm wondering if it is the scissor-tailed seen earlier in the week at Port Hope. When she returned with her binoculars, it was gone. Janet has been birding many years, and I would certainly trust her IDs. High park is south of Bloor St. and west of Keele St. in Toronto. Grenadier Pond is on the west side of the park.
