Enduring an almost all-day drizzle today, Dan Salisbury and I birded Dunnville, Rock Point and the Townsend Sewage Lagoon.
The Cattle Egret reported by others was still at the King Rd. site in Dunnville at about 12:30. Rock Point and Townsend (about 500 waders overall) produced 15 species of waders - Killdeer, Semipalmated Plover, Greater (Townsend) & Lesser Yellowlegs, Solitary Sandpiper, Spotted Sandpiper, Turnstone (Rock Point), Sanderling (Rock Point), Semipalmated Sandpiper, Least Sandpiper, White-rumped Sandpiper (Rock Point), Baird's Sandpiper (Townsend), Pectoral Sandpiper, Stilt Sandpiper (about 25 at Townsend) and Short-billed Dowitcher.
