Some of the current birds are generating a lot of excitement. There are a couple of points everyone posting should be aware of.
ONTBIRDS is currently experiencing a 45 to 60 minute delay in transmission. Technical support has been alerted and is working on it. If you have recently sent a message to ONTBIRDS and not received it, wait. It will be sent. You can confirm your message by visiting our archives at http://mailman.hwcn.org/pipermail/ontbirds/ The archives are available to everyone, you don't have to be subscribed to ONTBIRDS to read our archives. With current time delays it is a good idea to contact people through other means. If you call someone make sure you state clearly whether a message has been sent to ONTBIRDS. Try to call local hotlines. Remember ONTBIRDS is for bird sightings. ONTBIRDS is not a forum for discussion. If you have questions about a report ask the poster directly. Do not post questions, comments or opinions to ONTBIRDS. If you are concerned about the content of a post contact the coordinator (me). All sewage lagoons have access concerns, common sense and a sensitivity to local municipal concerns and regulations is needed when visiting a lagoon. Final note I am doing a Bird Studies Canada Baillie Birdathon for the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) this Saturday with Sheldon McGregor, Donna Sheppard and Jim Watt (alphabetic order) from Long Point to Oakville-Mississauga. We also have pledges for Hamilton Naturalists' Club and the South Peel Naturalists' Club. Any reports of lingering migrants (Juncos, Whitethroats etc) would appreciated (privately not to ONTBIRDS) --- Mark Cranford ONTBIRDS Coordinator Mississauga, Ontario [EMAIL PROTECTED] 905 279 9576 From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu May 20 11:19:36 2004 Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Delivered-To: [email protected] Received: from e450.mnsi.net (e450.mnsi.net [216.8.137.207]) by king.hwcn.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 0878B485AF for <[email protected]>; Thu, 20 May 2004 11:19:31 -0400 (EDT) Received: from ppvrcfriends (dyn216-8-145-39.win.mnsi.net [216.8.145.39]) by e450.mnsi.net (8.12.10/8.12.10) with SMTP id i4KFK6jX027816 for <[email protected]>; Thu, 20 May 2004 11:20:07 -0400 (EDT) Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> From: "fopp" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Ontbirds" <[email protected]> Date: Thu, 20 May 2004 11:22:35 -0400 MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 5.50.4807.1700 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V5.50.4807.1700 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.1 Subject: [Ontbirds]Point Pelee Park Bird Report May 20 X-BeenThere: [email protected] X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 20 May 2004 15:19:36 -0000 Point Pelee Park Bird Report May 20 A few migrants reported at the tip this morning, but generally slow.=20 Warbler species included Cerulean, Canada, Black-poll and Brewster's. = There were also reports of a Worm-eating Warbler, and a Yellow-throated = Warbler.
