Thickson's Woods did offer a few warblers, Scarlet Tanager and several
Thrushes. The best birding area while I was there was along the roadside and
along the east pathway of the meadow.

Notables--
   Mourning Warbler--near the roadway--elusive;Connecticut
Warbler,Golden-winged W.,Canada W.,Wilson's W., and heard
singing-Blackpolls. A heart-stopping moment occurred wqhen 2 or 3 of the
birders stepped very close to where an American Woodcock was sitting-- the
sudden vertical take-off ensued.

Exit from the 401 , south down Thickson Rd. in east Whitby, down toward the
lake, turning left at the Waterfront Trail sign.
