Hi All I'm posting this for Sue Read, who was asked to post this message for Ann White of London.
The Wilson's Plover was again seen this morning at 10:30 am in the same location as previously described (Tollgate ponds - Hamilton). It was seen long the water's edge with a semi-palmated plover and when she called in the bird was close to the boat. As for the Pelee side of things, Blake Mann found a singing, male KIRTLAND'S WARBLER this morning just north of the Visitor Centre parking lot on the bicycle trail. The bird continues to be seen as I post this message. Good birding! It was associating with 3 Semipalmated Plovers near the very small puddle in the middle of the mud flat. Directions from Toronto (from previouds post): Take QEW to QEW Niagara. At the exit to QEW Niagara you will see a sign for Eastport Drive. Get onto Eastport Drive and it will wind its way around and over the Burlington Lift Bridge. Continue to follow Eastport Drive past the first Tollgate Pond (large square pond on right) and just east of this there will be a muddy area where they are filling in the pond that was there. The bird is running around on the mud in this area. Good views with a scope but can be seen with binoculars. Anne Anthony Peterborough
