Ontbirders -

This morning around noon, Ontario birders Michael Holden and Randy Fowler
located a male Cinnamon Teal in amongst the other waterfowl at the south end
of the Hillman Marsh Shorebird Habitat cell. Hopefully the bird will stay
around for the weekend during the Hillman Marsh Shorebird Festival. This
past week the barrier beach separating Hillman marsh from Lake Erie was
intentionally breached to lower water levels, which is creating good
shorebird habitat.

The new 88 acre Hillman Marsh shorebird habitat is located along County Rd,
37 north of County Rd 20, on the Northeast corner of the Point Pelee
peninsula, approx 4 km east of the town of Leamington.

Good birding -
