The Marbled Godwit was last seen this morning at 9:40am. Other shorebirds present this morning include:
1 Solitary Sandpiper 1 Black-bellied Plover 1 Semi-Palmated Plover 2 Killdeers 7 Spotted Sandpipers 1 Dunlin 2 Least Sandpipers 14 Greater Yellowlegs 27 Lesser Yellowlegs Also present were: 12 Little Gulls 1 Peregrine Falcon 2 Yellow Warblers ( McLaughlin Bay Nature Reserve) 2 Horned Grebes ( lake Ontario) 600+ waterfowl mostly Green-winged Teal 316 (including the white-headed drake), Gadwall 52 , Mallards 61, Lesser Scaup 56, Northern Shovelers 53, Northern Pintail 37, and American Wigeon 26 Directions Exit from the 401 at the Harmony Rd. Exit (419) in Oshawa. Go south on Farewell St. to Colonel Sam Drive. Go east on Colonel Sam Drive to the parking lot at the GM Headquarters. Park in the west parking lot close to the marsh. The east platform is located here. To see the Lake Ontario waterbirds proceed along the path from the parking lot south to the lakeshore
