Presqu'ile Provincial Park, Thursday, April 29 at about 2 p.m. a Yellow Rail answered clicking pebbles on the lookout at the beginning of the Marsh Boardwalk Trail where it occurred last year. It did not answer until after I had stopped clicking for several minutes but it quickly became quite agitated and answered continuously for over 2 minutes. there was also a red-bellied woodpecker beside the Newcastle trail in the wet area beside the small hill near the where the trail meets Paxton Drive close to the lighthouse and a very vocal black and white warbler in the Marsh Boardwalk parking lot. Other birds listed in Fred Helleiner's Thursday report.
