Hi Everyone
When I finally was able to get there just after 6pm, I easily found the
LeConte's Sparrow was in the same area reported by Margaret Bain. It is in
stunning plummage and afforded me and 2 other birders very close looks as
it foraged in the brush pile and along the pathway about 100m south of the
green sightings box.
Directions as given by Margaret Bain:
Park on the north side of the woods on the Waterfront Trail Road which runs
eastward near the south end of Thickson Road, Exit 412 off Hwy.401. Enter
through the gate into the woods and continue going south on the trails till
you reach the sightings book in its green wooden stand.
Happy Spring!
