Beamer was pretty slow today despite what appeared to be spectacular weather, unless of course, you're a migrating hawk. Sadly, clear sunny skies coupled with rising barometric pressure does not make for a good hawk migration.
Despite this, we did see 143 individuals including: 45 turkey vultures 1 osprey 5 northern harriers 23 sharp-shinned hawks 2 cooper's hawks 20 broad-winged hawks 47 red tailed hawks Additionally, we saw: 11 common loons 7 bluebirds 1 pine siskin 1 wild turkey 1 fox sparrow 3 rough-winged swallows 2 barn swallows several purple finches All this and some great conversation made for a great day outdoors.
