On such a bitterly cold, albeit sunny day, I ventured down to the feeding station at the north pathway alongside Hall's Rd. in southwest Whitby--- many ground-feeding birds of 8 species included 7 female Red-winged Blackbirds, my first sighting of the gender this year.
