The Ross's Goose first seen briefly by Keith Sealey on March 24 at Aylmer WMA was present again today, March 26, at 11:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. Twice when seen in flight it has been with 4 or 5 Canada Geese.

Daily counts of Tundra Swans are 1500 to 2000 and should remain in those numbers for another week and then gradually tail off until the first weekend in April. Daily doses of corn keep them here longer than in other locations. Due to the presence of large numbers of swans and geese very few ducks can squeeze into the few remaining openings.

3 Tree Swallows were foraging over the ponds and lots of Turkey Vultures were in the vicinity.

Other Elgin County arrivals that I have heard about in the last few days include Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Eastern Phoebe and Greater Yellowlegs.

Directions to Aylmer WMA:
From Hwy 401 take #73 (Elgin Road which becomes Imperial Road in Elgin County) south towards Aylmer. Make a left on Ron McNeil Line towards Springfield and a right at Hacienda Road. Go south straight to the 2nd entrance at the Ontario Police College to the Aylmer Wildlife Management Area behind the Police College. Follow to viewing stand.
