The Bruce County Birding Club featured birds of the day were Bald Eagle, Merlin and the first Common Grackles and Red-wing Blackbirds of the year. By noon hour today we had found 31 species. Lake Huron shore ice made water fowl a scarce commodity. The male Merlin has just returned and hopefully will nest again this year in the same area we saw him at today.
