Hi All, The title doesn't tell the full story. We headed out to Inverhuron but dipped on the Townsend's Solitaire, apparently it was seen earlier in the morning, but after a good hour and then coming back for another hour or so we had no luck, it sounds like the bird is still around but tough to see! For consolation we had 2 adult Bald Eagles and another 3 immature (two diving on one another), 4 of these were seen in flight over the spot where the Solitaire has been seen. Also had 4 different sets of Wild Turkeys in various places, 4 along "Sideroad B/C" near the Bruce Power property, another 3 separate flocks of 3, 15 and then another of 42 along Bruce County Road 20, heading east from Hwy 21. All around the sideroads there were many Horned Larks (always even numbers!, spring is in the air) and a couple of small flocks of Snow Buntings as well.
Good birding, Frank Pinilla Thornhill, ON e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] DIRECTIONS (to "alleged"...kidding...Solitaire): Take Hwy 21 north from Kincardine or south from Port Elgin, turn West on Bruce Cty Rd 15 towards Inverhuron, turn right on Victoria St. which turns left at Cayley St. park at the spot where the road turns left and walk straight in towards the lake. There is a cottage on the left called "Hillcrest", the bird has been seen just across the road (on the right) and down in the cedars below the cottage (nearer the lake).
