After a fruitless search for the Barrow's Goldeneye on Fruitland Road. drove along the North Service Road to Jones Road and to the water. The Barrow's was fishing fairly close to shore. Good views with a scope. Red-breasted Mergansers and Goldeneye nearby.
At Fruitland there were 3 kinds of Scoters. Drive under the QEW and drive straight down Fruitland to the lake. To get to Jones Road turn right at North Service when coming off QEW and go a few streets east to Jones Road.
