Birders,

This afternoon about 1:45 my sister Eileen and I saw several thousands of
Snow Buntings in the west field off the north trail/platform at Cranberry.
They were streaming in and out of the weeded field in our newly created
meadow. After feeding they seemed to come into the snow covered fields for a
rest, because they were amazingly still on the ground. I scoped for other
species, but the lighting was not great due to the fog and distance. It was
quire a spectacular sight. Apparently they have been around Halls Road for
four days.

Directions to Cranberry: Halls Road is the first street east of Lakeridge
Road and Victoria Street in Whitby. Victoria is the southern most east and
west street in Whitby.
